Spirituality doesn't have to be complicated!
Tuesday 26 July 2005
Over the years I have witnessed some pretty amazing events that have broken every law of conventional medicine, not to mention physics. I have observed spiritual healing cure people from supposed life-threatening illnesses literally in an instant and I have seen spirit forces levitate objects (without any human assistance or intervention). I have also listened to words of wisdom from disincarnate spirit guides. All of these things fly in the face of conventional wisdom and traditional spirituality. As such, I have come to the conclusion that:
When it comes to spirituality, let's keep it simple!
As a regular part of my medical intuitive readings, I look at whether the way my clients are living is consistent with their spiritual ideals and beliefs. And more and more, I observe that people seem to think that the more complicated spirituality is the better. It's as if being spiritual should be a burden. Somehow society has instilled in us this notion that the only way to heaven is by pain and suffering. Unfortunately, too many of us are suffering needlessly!
This week I would like to offer what I consider the essentials of what it means to be spiritual. The concepts aren't difficult to understand and it won't take reams of paper to explain them.
- Live in the here and now. Dwelling on a past event is not only futile but it can be quite damaging. We are ever only in the present - it's where we live and breathe. Nothing has ever changed in the past because someone worried about it or devoted time to going over it again and again. What it does do is to sap you of precious and vital energy that jeopardises your present and future physical health.
- Change is not difficult. In fact, it can be one of the easiest and quickest things you can do. All you have to do is to embrace it and stop fearing it. Change really can occur in the blink of an eye!
- Say what you believe and believe what you say. One of the most common disempowering patterns of behaviour that I observe in my clients is that they don't live in a way that is consistent with what they say they believe. This can be one of the most self-destructive things that we can do to ourselves. Change one or the other - it's up to you.
- We create our realities. Or put another way - like attracts like. Wallowing in negativity not only compounds your problems but it leaves the door wide open for disease and illness. Laughter, optimism and positive energy, however, will save the day every time and in every situation.
Little words, big concepts. And yet, I see our mission on earth to try to live in a manner that embodies these principles as much as possible. I admit that it's not always easy and that I even let myself down at times. But it's the degree to which we live and define who we are. Do we always strive for the light, or do we take the easy way out by surrendering to the dark - the forces of negativity and fear?
So the next time you find yourself thinking that living spiritually is something mystical and complicated, I would say that you couldn't be farther from the truth. If you ask me, modern-day life is already complex enough!
As a medical intuitive, I not only offer insights and guidance to people on their physical and spiritual conditions, but I work with my client one-on-one on their own Journey to Power. Click here to learn more about the range of intuitive readings and services I offer.
Until next week,
Kindest regards,
