This week I want to open with a question:
Where’s your energy going?
What? You don’t know? What do you mean you don’t know?! Sorry for jumping up and down there, but this is probably the most important question of your life. And no, I’m not kidding.
We are energetic beings. Our thoughts are energy. And our bodies are energy. It doesn’t matter if you buy into this – it’s the way it is. If you’re not yet a believer, ask yourself what an EKG measures when attached to the chest of a heart patient. What do you think brain waves are? That’s right, it’s all energy. We are energy.
Thousands of years ago it was recognised that energy was an essential component of the human body. Seven points on the body were then identified as being the major centres of the human energy system. These centres are, of course, what we know as the Chakras.
Energy enters through the Chakras. Energy is processed in the Chakras. And energy is released from the Chakras.
This is our energy. It’s what we need to live. It’s physical and it’s spiritual. Most importantly, it’s real.
It might make it easier to picture this, if you will: Every second of every day energy is coming down from the Universe and entering our bodies via the top of our head (Seventh Chakra). It then begins a journey travelling down the body from the Sixth to the First Chakra giving us what is known in the vedic system as prana or what might more generically be called life force.
But energy doesn’t just come in. It also goes out. Thoughts trigger the release of energy as do our attitudes, beliefs and even our memories. That’s how it works. Energy comes in. Energy is released.
It’s natural and inevitable that some energy will leave during our daily interaction and exchange with the environment. But if too much energy is released, it leaves us feeling drained. When was the last time you said that you were feeling drained? You see, that’s an energetic term that has worked itself into our everyday vocabulary.
To maintain our health we have to be aware not only of our energy but where it’s going. Because only a finite amount can be taken in through the system, it’s essential that we don’t unknowingly open the floodgates to the point that there’s not enough for ourselves – physically and spiritually.
I work with clients every day who have developed energy leaks. Energy comes in through the top of their heads and like a sieve it just pours from their body. Sometimes they are conscious of it. Many times they aren’t. But in all cases they have a gut feeling that something is wrong.
In my readings, I scan the energetic body looking for such leaks. The most common causes for this kind of energy loss are memories of bad times that we are holding on to, unresolved anger or beliefs that we learned as children that were never discarded in the process of growing up.
When energy leaks are severe enough and are left long enough, they can develop into health problems. This happens because there simply isn’t enough energy to go round. It’s literally as if our cell tissue begins to starve.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. We can monitor our energy. Indeed, we have a duty and a responsibility to do so – as we are ourselves energetic beings.
You owe it to yourself to ask yourself where your energy is going. Do this as part of a daily ritual. Or, and above all, do it when you feel drained. That’s your body’s signal that something’s not right. It’s a signal worth paying attention to.
Don’t sleepwalk your way through life. You might be okay; you might not. But the point is that you’ll miss so much if you do.
Amazing things happen every day. Are you getting your fair share? Or do they seem to pass you by?
Every day I work with my clients to help them live fuller and healthier lives. If you’ve been struggling with bad habits, or repeating mistakes from your past, then choose a better way – a happier and more authentic way of living.
Instead of just trying to cut out the negative, embrace change and do something positive. Sign up for one of my readings as your first positive step. Check out the full range here.
Over at PsychicBridges, I explore how it’s possible to read someone’s energy even when they are on the other side of the planet. Remote readings are as good as being in the same room with me. Get the full story here!
I always welcome your thoughts and feedback on IntuitiveBridges, so let me hear from you by clicking here.
Until next week,
Kindest regards,
