Too many believe cancer is down to fate!
A recent poll carried out by the charity Cancer Research UK sought to survey popular beliefs about cancer. Their findings reveal that more than a quarter of the population believe that whether or not they will get cancer is completely out of their hands. In their words, it is down to destiny, fate or chance.
As a professional Medical Intuitive, I found this very interesting – if not equally disturbing. You see, we are each of us energetic beings with our physical bodies mirroring our spiritual (or energetic) bodies. Just as organs such as the heart and lungs compromise our physical anatomy, our beliefs form a central component in our energy anatomy.
What we believe in is very important because through our beliefs we make what you might call energetic investments. That’s right, by believing in something we invest our energy in that notion.
If we invest wisely, then our belief pays dividends and our health prospers. We are empowered. However, if we believe in something that dis-empowers us, we have to top up that investment and run the risk of paying the price with dis-ease.
Other surveys have revealed that a majority of us believe that we create our reality. We’ve all heard it said and it would seem that many us of have said it. It is after all the key tenet of the holistic health movement.
What we create our reality means is that we are not creatures of fate and that we sit in the driver’s seat when it comes to our lives – that we call the shots, if you will. Or so it would seem – except when it comes to cancer.
When we feel that something in our lives is down to chance, we make ourselves powerless to do anything about it. If or when that event then happens, we can only throw our hands up in despair. This reaction should be familiar to us all. It is the reaction of a victim. And this victim consciousness stands in direct opposition to the construct that we create our own reality.
On the one hand we believe that we are the masters of our fate, and on the other we believe that getting cancer is something over which we are powerless. Giving energy to contradictory beliefs or to what we should know better than believe in produces something of a short-circuit in our energy systems. This short-circuit then does precisely what we don’t want – it hands our health, our lives over to chance.
Each of us has a duty to ourselves to know what beliefs we have plugged into. And then we need to go further and consider whether it’s something that empowers us and gives us the control we need to have to live fully or whether it robs us of the control and authority we wish we had over our lives.
Whether any of us will get cancer is down to a lot of factors. It’s a complicated disease and what causes it is equally complicated. Not smoking, and eating and drinking in moderation appear to reduce the risk of cancer. But more importantly, recognising what you believe in and what those beliefs do to your power determines the quality and health of life we lead.
What beliefs are you plugged into? Are they consistent with what you want out of life? Or do you know better but cannot help yourself? If it’s more the latter than the former, then you need to take a more active and conscious role in how you invest your energy.
Every day I work with people through my Medical Intuitive Readings in which I evaluate their energy anatomy – their thoughts, attitudes and beliefs and what it’s doing to their physical bodies – and offer guidance on what to do to improve their lives.
If you want to live a more authentic, happier and healthier life, then you might want to consider one of my readings. If you’re suffering from an illness, I may just be able to offer insights into that burning question why? And if you are healthy, then a reading could be that ounce of prevention. Over at PsychicBridges,
I consider the real reason that many of us don’t seek psychic readings. It’s not that we don’t believe. It’s rather that we fear what might come out of the reading. Read what I have to say to that here!

Until next week,
